Exploring the Subconscious Blocks That Keep You Stuck and How to Overcome Them
Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a loop, no matter how much you try to change things? It’s as if life is playing out like the movie Groundhog Day—you’re trying new jobs, earning more money, starting new routines, or even changing the people around you, yet somehow, you keep ending up in the same place. The Real Culprit: Subconscious Programming
Think of your mind as a supercomputer. While your conscious thoughts might be the apps you actively use, the subconscious mind is the hidden operating system running in the background. It’s powerful, and it dictates most of your actions, reactions, and habits.
But where does this programming come from?
From a young age, your subconscious mind was wide open, soaking up every experience, word, and emotion like a sponge. You didn’t have the reasoning mind (your conscious mind) to filter or reject what you heard and observed. Instead, everything became part of your core belief system.
You absorbed the way your parents reacted to money, relationships, and challenges. You heard repeated phrases about your worth, what’s possible, and how the world works. You experienced emotions tied to events that left lasting impressions.
These repetitive messages, paired with strong emotions, created the "coding" for your subconscious mind.
How Programming Keeps You Stuck
Here’s an example: let’s say you grew up hearing your parents argue about money. The emotional intensity of those fights might have imprinted the belief that “money equals conflict” in your subconscious.
Now, as an adult, even if you land a higher-paying job, your subconscious mind may find ways to make sure that extra money disappears. Why? Because deep down, you’ve been programmed to associate money with conflict, and your subconscious mind always works to keep you aligned with its programming.
It’s why so many of us feel stuck—our subconscious beliefs and patterns are running the show, even when we consciously want something different.
How to Change Your Programming
So, how do you break free? How do you fix what’s holding you back?
The good news is that you can reprogram your subconscious mind using the same system that created your beliefs in the first place: suggestions, emotions, and repetition.
1. Change Your Thinking
Start with autosuggestion—consciously feeding your mind new, empowering thoughts and ideas.
2. Connect Emotions to New Beliefs
Emotions anchor beliefs. Tie positive emotions like joy and gratitude to the new thoughts you want to adopt.
3. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat
Repetition is key. Just as your old beliefs were reinforced over time, your new programming requires consistent effort and reinforcement.
